The Culture as Care Journal aims to contribute to building egalitarian power by presenting theory, tactics, and strategy based on the perspective that culture is an essential form of care. We believe that (like healthcare, education, food, and housing) art, music, and space for cultural development should be produced as decommodified universal human rights, easily accessible to all. The CCJ welcomes contributions from a broad range of perspectives and experiences, including cultural workers, workers who facilitate cultural space, educators, artists, musicians, sex workers, care workers, and academics. We welcome theoretical essays, historical writing, poetry, interviews, personal reflections, video/audio essays, and other types of media.
